We have been hardcore fans of Hiromi Nagasawa's Column Sweater since she released this pattern last year. Our love for this pattern has not waned one bit! Why do we love it so... because it's a really fun pattern to knit, results in a sweater that looks great on everyone, and can be knit a variety of yarn combinations. Yarn combining is such a fun way to customize your project. You could add a thin strand of hand-dyed yarn to give your pullover a bit of pop, pair the main yarn with a silk mohair for a sweet halo, or partner two very neutral yarns to create a subtle texture. The pattern has two variations: super bulky or bulky, which makes the yarn options plentiful. The possibilities are endless! Join us in yarn combining this month to get in on our knit-a-long fun!! Our official March KAL project is the Column Sweater, but you can be part of the KAL with any project that involves yarn combining. Register for the KAL to get your 10% yarn discount!

Every month we like to start a new knit-a-long project at Cattywampus. There's no instructor for knit-a-longs. It's a chance to enjoy knitting a common project along with others. Our official KAL meetups are on Monday afternoons 3-5 pm, but you are welcome to knit and gather whenever it works for you or from the comfort of home and sharing on Instagram with #cattywampuskal.
