The Iris Hat is knitted with two strands of yarn held together and a triple-fold brim for extra warmth and coziness during the winter months. Combining a strand of silk-mohair knitted together with fingering weight merino makes the hat really soft and gives it a beautiful halo. You can easily adjust the size and length of the hat to get the fit you want. The hat is knitted from top down, so you can try it on as you knit it to make sure the head circumference and length are just perfect for your head. After the crown shaping the rest of the hat is just simple 1x1 ribbing. This hat is designed for everyday use, and despite the small needles and fingering weight yarn it knits up surprisingly fast. For these kits, we've paired gorgeous hand-dyed yarns by Hedgehog Fibres that will be beautifully highlighted with the simple rib pattern.

The kit includes the printed pattern and PDF and 2 skeins of yarn. If you need needles, be sure to add that to your purchase.
