Ranunculus

The Ranunculus pattern by Midori Hirose is quite simply beautiful. It's a little lacy, quite a bit loose, and a very joyful knit project to make. As someone who doesn't often knit with small yarn, I love that this pattern gives me a chance to use lace or fingering weight yarn but still use bigger size US 10 needles. The pattern is written for a wide range of sizes, long or short sleeves, and looks amazing in lots of different yarns. This is a pattern that one could easily make many times over resulting in totally different sweaters.

Materials Required
- Lace or fingering yarn depending on how transparent you want it (436 yards short sleeve, 613 yards long sleeve)
- US 10 (6 mm) circular knitting needles
- US 8 (5 mm) circular knitting needles - for finishing long sleeve version only
- Different colored stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
- Small crochet hook - for finishing smaller neckline only
